Bathroom renovations, wall and floor tiling, regrouting, epoxy grout, waterproofing, caulking and leak repairs. Residential and commercial, across Melbourne.
View All ServicesAt Asian Renovations we renovate, tile and waterproof bathrooms and balconies right across Melbourne, for homeowners, builders, property managers and owners corporations. We take on everything from a full strip out and rebuild through to a single cracked tile.
A lot of what we get called for is leaks. Where a regrout and reseal will hold, we say so, because it costs a fraction of a rebuild. Where the waterproofing underneath has failed, we tell you that too, and either way the job gets handed back watertight.

You get the full scope and the number before we start, so there are no hourly surprises at the end of the job.
Old material out, substrate made good, falls set to the waste, then membrane applied and left to cure properly.
Set out from the centre so the cuts land sensibly, grouted in standard or epoxy, silicone to every internal corner.

The questions we get asked on almost every quote, answered properly.
See All FAQsMost of the time, yes. If the tiles and the substrate underneath are sound, cutting out the old grout and silicone and replacing them will stop the majority of shower leaks. We only recommend a full rebuild when the waterproofing membrane itself has failed, because at that point no amount of grout will hold the water back.
A regrout or reseal is usually one to two days. A full bathroom renovation takes considerably longer, mostly because the waterproofing membrane has to cure fully before tiling can start and that is not a step worth rushing. You get the expected timeline in writing with your quote.
Epoxy grout does not absorb water, so it resists staining and mould far better than standard cement grout. It costs more and takes longer to install. It is genuinely worth it in showers and on commercial floors. In a dry area it usually is not necessary, and we will tell you that rather than sell it to you.
Because the tiles are almost never the problem. Most balcony leaks start at the door threshold, at the junction where the balcony meets the building, or at a membrane joint that was not lapped properly. The water then travels before it appears on the ceiling below, which is why the damp patch is often nowhere near the actual entry point.
Yes. A good portion of our work is maintenance and repairs for owners corporations, property managers and builders, particularly on balconies and bathrooms in apartment buildings. We are used to working around tenants and providing documentation for strata records.
