Carpet Removal

What is involved

Usually the first step before a floor gets tiled. Carpet, underlay and smooth edge come up, and the tack strips and staples come out of the slab or floorboards.

  • Carpet, underlay and smooth edge removed
  • Staples and tack strips pulled out
  • Old material taken away, not left on site
  • Subfloor assessed for what it needs next
  • Often combined with a tiling quote

Carpet, underlay and smooth edge come up, then the staples and tack strips come out of the boards or slab. On a timber floor that is fiddly work if you want the boards left in usable condition.

Everything goes with us. We would rather not leave a roll of old carpet on the nature strip for you to deal with.

With the floor exposed we can tell you what preparation it needs before tiling: levelling compound, sheeting, or in some cases nothing at all.
